Love this place. A hardware place straight out of Mayberry. I keep looking for Floyd the Barber every time I go in. But they do have just about everything you could want, and definitely more than big box stores. How is that, you ask? Because they know their customers, and their customer's homes. Most homes in the area were built in the 1960's, so they keep stuff a home from that era would need, right down to screws. See what I mean now?

I love that I'm able to shop local. The folks are always very friendly and prices are comparable to the chain stores. I've always found anything that I'm looking for here, as well.

Very busy when I arrived. The employees made short order of the waiting customers. Got my keys made and had a great conversation with the owner. If you need it, they probably have it. Highly recommended.

Somehow this little hardware store always has exactly what I need. From the exact size bolt, to a back door threshold seal in a 60 year old house to a water spigot rebuilt kit for a 40 year old faucet. I'm always amazed that they have what the big box stores don't. It's a shame that they no longer carry propane or I'd never need any other home improvement store. I brought them the old frames from my screen windows and they made them look brand new for a great price too.

The way hardware stores have always been, and always need to remain. Knowledgeable people, not kids' first jobs. They have the pieces and parts your job needs, know where they are and how they fit together. In a way big box stores never will. Highview Hardware has been around longer than I have, and that's a very long time. And for your sake and mine, I hope they will be here a lot longer.
